UAE's President Visit to Islamabad cancelled

The UAE President was scheduled to visit the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad today but due to bad weather conditions, the visit is cancelled for today. Earlier the flight was delayed for short time but then the sources confirmed cancellation of visit.

The minister of Information and Broadcasting, Maryam Aurangzeb told the media that his flight was to take off at 7:30 but the security team did not allowed his plane to take off as in view of bad weather conditions.

The new date for the UAE President’s visit will be announced soon. The President Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed al Nahyan contacted the Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef and expressed his sorrow over cancellation of visit.

Muhammad Shahbaz Shareef responded that your security and well-being is more important than anything. The UAE President assured that he will soon come to Islamabad for two-day visit.

Arrangements to welcome UAE president

It is to be noted that all the arrangements to welcome the president were completed in Islamabad and he was to be travelling from JF-17 aircraft by Pakistan air force.

Prime minister and senior members of government were also present at PAF base Nur Khan to welcome the honorary guest. Public holiday for all the offices and educational institutes was also announced to avoid any kind of incident.

A one on one meeting was also scheduled between the Prime minister and President UAE to discuss bilateral and trade relationships between both the countries.

The President of UAE reached Pakistan last week on invitation of Prime minister Pakistan Shahbaz Shareef. The Prime minister with senior officials received the President from Rahim Yar Khan and both the leaders discussed the historical strong relationship between Pakistan and UAE. The President UAE also announced major investments in Pakistan to help boosting its economy.
