The Sindh government launched Pakistan’s first every women only bus service to help women of Karachi travel safely and without any fear. The bus service is starting to work only in Karachi for now. Sharjeel Inaam took it to twitter and tweeted about the launch of this bus service in Karachi.
The information Minister of Sindh announced on twitter saying that “Transport department of Sindh government is going to start Pakistan’s first bus service only for women and girls exclusively”. He further added that Insha’Allah pink buses are starting to move in city from 1st February.

The Information Minister did not shared any routes for buses but only posted a picture of pink bus with caption, “People bus service, at your service”. Showing the concern of people’s party government for public.
First ever electric bus service in Karachi
The government of Sindh also started Pakistan’s first electric bus service in Karachi. On January 3rd the transport minister announced the starting of electric bus in Karachi named as Peoples electric bus service as it is the work of People’s party.
In the initial phase, the transport department inaugurated the bus service for moving in Karachi. The transport minister, Sindh local government minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah also travelled in bus from Seaview, Karachi.
Talking to media, the transport minister said that it would be environment friendly bus service and also it would not cost any diesel expense. The fare in this bus service is also low as compare to pother transports. It would be very easy and comfortable if people start travelling through this service. The environment of the city would also be safe and pollution free.

The buses are of European standard and will make the environment healthy and pollution free. When describing the route, Memon said that bus would allow citizens to travel from Tank Chowk to Clock Tower roundabout, Seaview via Khayaban e itehad road at low fares.
The route of women only bus is not announced yet but it is confirmed that it will only allow female passengers to travel in.
