Pakistan Army announced the Army Act to punish criminals involved in breaking laws during political protests. The top brass of Pakistan Army expressed anguish over the brutal attacks on Army buildings and Shuhada’s memorials.
Cheif of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir presided over Special Corps Commanders Conference which is held in General Head Quarter (GHQ). The participants of conference paid tribute to Shuhadas.

Shuhadas laid their lives in defence of the motherland and its people and here people doesn’t even paid attention to their memorials just because of their political interests.
A press release of conference was also issued by ISPR saying, “The forum acknowledged the successful counterterrorism and intelligence based operations in the country by security forces, especially valiant response given be the troops in Muslim Bagh Attack, and paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifices made by the brave sons of the soil”.
Internal & External Security Environment
The conference was briefed about the current internal and external security environment of the country. It also took comprehensive stock of the law and order situation in the past few days that was only created to achieve political interests.
It was briefed in the conference that people involved in desecration of Shuhada pictures, monuments, burning down of historical buildings and vandalism of military installation will be punished according to Army Act.
Based on all the evidences collected so far, Pakistan army is well aware of the planners, instigators, abettors and perpetrators of these attacks and attempts to create distortions in this regard are absolutely futile, ISPR said.
The Conference emphasized the need of national consensus and priority to restore public confidence, economic activity and strengthening democratic process.
