'Road to Makkah' Project between Pakistan & Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabian Deputy Interior Minister is in Pakistan for his two-day official visit, the Saudi official will finalise the agreement of ‘Road to Makkah’ project.

The initiative is a major milestone which would be helpful in simplifying and streamlining the immigration processes for pilgrims ensuring a seamless and hassle-free experience of travelling.

The Saudi Interior Minister will also attend meetings with Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef, Cheif of Army Staff General Asim Munir, Federal Minister for Narcotics Control and other officials.

Interior Minister Rana Sana Ullah welcomed the Saudi Deputy Interior Minister at Nur Khan Airbase.

40,000 Pilgrims Under the Project

Nearly 40,000 pilgrims would travel to Saudi Arabia from Islamabad International Airport to Makkah under the Road to Makkah initiative. All the immigration process are to be complete at Islamabad International Airport for the journey.

This initiative would help the pilgrims to save several hours after reaching Makkah as they can now just enter the country easily having their immigration process completed in own country.
