Capital Development Authority (CDA) is launching two new bus services for people of Rawalpindi. The blue and purple bus service will benefit the students and senior citizens. It will be start working in areas without metro bus service.
CDA chairman informed the media that purple line bus service will be operating from IJP road and another silver bus service will start from Taramri. The blue line bus service will be extended to Rawat from Rawalpindi.
The students and people over the age of 60 will travel by paying half fare and kids under the age of 10 can travel free in these buses. People residing near IJP, Dhoke Najju, New Katarian, Pindora, I-9/10 would benefit from purple line bus service.

This bus service is starting in concern that metro is operating in main areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Now with this bus service, it would be easy to travel inner city in a bus with low fare rates. The CDA explained that this new bus service would ease the travel expense of citizens.
In initial plan, Pakistan is purchasing 300 new buses from China to launch this service. This initiative is part of providing modern transport facilities to Pakistani people at affordable prices. This bus service is designed in a way that it would not cause any kind of pollution of disruption in rush areas of city.
Electric Bus service in Karachi
Earlier, Sindh government also launched Pakistan’s first electric bus service and Pakistan’s first women only bus. Both of the buses are environment friendly initiative of Sindh government. The electric bus service will provide comfortable ride with low fares and environment friendly outcomes.

The first women only bus service is also operating in Karachi, providing easy and comfortable rides for female citizen of Karachi. The local buses of Karachi are so loud and crowded with a lot of people travelling in it. Most of the women don’t feel comfortable while travelling in local transport with a lot of other men. This initiative will ease this difficulty and provide women safe and protected ride around the city.
