The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUST) witnessed a case of harassment of a female student. A professor is sacked up by administration for sending indecent messages to a student and harassing her continuously.
According to the report details, the Head of Physics Department at Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology in Islamabad had threatened her female student that he would fail her if she did not fulfill his demands.

The professor continously texted indecent messages to the female student and ask her to fulfill his illegal demands. If she would not respond, the results would be only her loss.
Affects on students’ education
The Head of Physics department failed the student with 1 mark after she rejected his demands. The female students also complaint to other three professors about the harassment but all of them advised her to stay silent as the issue will affect only her education and disgrace to family.
Disappointed with professors, student filed a complaint to the administration department of university. Following the one and half month of investigation, the anti-harassment committee found that complaint was true.

According to the investigations done by committee, university dismissed the head of Physics Department from service and ordered the assessment of next papers from an impartial forum.
