The decision of finalizing caretaker of Punjab Chief minister is to be decided soon by election commission of Pakistan. The ECP is keeping in view the disagreement of government and opposition.
The chief minister of Punjab Pervez Elahi announced that PTI and PML-Q will not accept the CM appointed by election commission of Pakistan. He said that we are aware that election commission of Pakistan which is making cases on Imran Khan with false accusations on daily basis.

He also said that we will not allow the caretaker CM to perform his duties if he is appointed by chief election commission. He added that we will approach the Supreme Court against ECP. He said that we have given three names to be selected which includes Shahbaz Shareef’s cabinet secretary Mr. Ahmad Nawaz Khosa.
Parliamentary committee meeting
A meeting of parliamentary committee is also going on in Assembly building to decide the name of caretaker chief minister. The PTI and PML Q nominated Malik Asim Iqbal, Basharat Raja, and Hashim Jawan Bakht as committee members.
If the committee failed to decide one name, election commission will then decide one name as caretaker of Punjab. The chairman PTI told the media that they have nominated the best names with positive reputation and incompatible ability to work hard.

He also said that constitutional requirement to select caretaker should be completed responsibly so that people could be given complete rights to vote in next elections.
He said that any delay in elections would not be tolerated, we are making sure to gain trust of public and concerned authorities should focus on transparency of elections.
