China Trading Centre completed in Gwadar

The Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiative announced the completion of the China Exhibition and Trading Centre in a record time of six months at Gwadar deep-sea port with cost of $12 million.

The China Exhibition and Trading Centre was launched in November 2022 on special directions of Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives for promoting Business and Related activities at Gwadar port.

The China Offshore Ports handling company completed the project on directions of Minister of Planning. Ahsan Iqbal further said that The Third International Expo Gwadar in the newly Established Expo Centre will be held in June 2023.

10-Year Celebration of CPEC

Keeping in regard the 10-Year celebrations of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in July, special celebrations and events will be held in Expo Centre at Gwadar. The Gwadar port holds important role as a key component of CPEC.

Gwadar also serves as Pakistan’s Premier deep-water port offering a gateway to the Arabian Gulf, Middle East and Central Asia. This development of China Trading Centre aims to transform Gwadar into major Trade and investment point for local and international market.

It would serve as an energy and transport corridor, coupled with it’s strategic location, economic cooperation, economic growth and regional integration.
