A very heart wrenching incident took place in Sweden last week when a man tore up and burned a copy of the Holy Quran outside the mosque in Stockholm. The man fled from Iraq to Sweden several years ago and permanent resident of the country.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Shareef has called for nationwide protest on Friday to speak out against the incident and raise voice on international forums.

Other muslim countries including Turkiye, Jordan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Iraq and Iran as well as the European Union raised voice against the brutal act of violence.
Yaum-i-Taqaddus Quran
Prime Minister marked the July 7th to be observed as Yaum-i-Taqaddus Quran, a day to uphold the Holy Quran’s sanctity. The nationwide protests would be taken out against Sweden.
He also decided to summon a joint session of Parliament for a subject of national action plan against Sweden in order to protect the honor of Muslims. A joint resolution would be passed in the joint session of Parliament.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan tweeted, “Peace-loving nations and leaders around the world who believe in co-existence should block the path of violent forces victim to Islamophobia and religious prejudices”.
