Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences announced eight to twelve bedded Kidney Transplant center in hospital within three months, according to official news source, Dr Nadir Hussain and Dr Ubaid Ullah had been selected to serve the new kidney transplant center. Both of the surgeons are already serving as active Kidney Transplant surgeons at Sheikh Zayed Teaching hospital.
The source reported that hospital has obtained the license from Human Organ Transplant Authority. The final approval is pending from HOTA as detailed inspection and scrutiny of center is still left.

Kidney center went closed two years back
Kidney transplant patients are the most sensitive patient and needs proper care. The PIMS kidney transplant institute was also remained closed two years back because of kidney transplant failure. The surgery of a girl went wrong and she immediately died after the transplant. This incident closed the kidney transplant unit of PIMS two years back.
The senior official of management said that this center will help the people who spent millions of money going abroad to have kidney transplants. We are trying to provide surgeries on low costs and best possible facilities.
