PML-N asks PTI to dissolve KP, Punjab assemblies

PTI to dissolve KP

Dissolve the Assembly of Punjab

Imran Khan was challenged by the PML-N on Friday to dissolve the assembly of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa immediately since the party in power in the federation was prepared to hold elections in the two provinces in 90 days.

The PML-N abandoned its defensive stance of pleading with Mr. Khan not to carry out his plan to dissolve the two provincial assemblies for the first time since he announced it last month at a rally in Rawalpindi.

Rana Sanaullah Dares Imran

“I dare Imran Khan to dissolve the [KP and Punjab] assemblies immediately, and we will have elections there [in both provinces] in 90 days. Imran needs to cease making flimsy reasons for dissolving the assembly after December 20 or the following week. Be brave and eliminate them right away,” the PML-N Punjab chapter president and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah declared at a press conference on Friday.

“We will defeat you in Punjab, which makes up 65 percent [of the population] of Pakistan, and the elections in both assemblies will also determine the outcome of the next general elections.”

Preparations Underway For Nawaz’s Return

Mr. Sanaullah, who was accompanied by the PML-provincial N’s information secretary Azma Bokhari, stated that the PML-N had also started making plans to welcome its supreme leader and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and that a message to this effect had been sent to the party’s members in Punjab and other parts of the country.

The minister responded in response to a question regarding the PML-repeated N’s assertion that the elder Sharif would ‘soon’ return to Pakistan from the UK: “The party workers have been directed to start preparations to welcome Nawaz Sharif….. and he will return ahead of the next polls as his presence will have a huge impact on the outcome of the elections.”

However, Mr. Sanaullah added that Nawaz Sharif was the “single” one to decide to return to Pakistan.

The senior PML-N leaders have provided Mr. Sharif’s return dates on a number of occasions. At least three to four dates (for Mr. Sharif’s return) have been provided by federal minister Javed Latif in the past, and last week, federal minister Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that the three-time premier would return to the country in January.
