Two Brothers Killed By Leopard
An official reported that two brothers were killed by a carnivore, most likely a leopard, on Monday in a bush near Palri village in Neelum valley.
According to Akhtar Ayoub, a disaster management officer at the district headquarters in Athmuqam, Qadeer, 20, and Amjad, 16, had gone with their parents earlier in the day to gather firewood in preparation for the winter.
Sizable Cache of Firewood
The sons asked their father, Munir Ahmed, to return to their hamlet and drive a vehicle to the remaining section of the hilly track, where they would haul the product in the meantime. This was after the family had gathered a sizable cache of firewood.

Both parents departed for home, and the father did not find his sons waiting for him when he arrived back in a jeep at about five o’clock in the afternoon. He was shocked when he discovered the pair had been killed by a leopard when he proceeded deeper into the woods in pursuit of them, according to Mr. Ayoub.
District Hospital in Athmuqam
In heartbreaking circumstances, people carried the remains to the district hospital in Athmuqam, where doctors patched their wounds and police finished the necessary formalities before turning the bodies back to the grieving family.
