A team of Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab along with Lahore police conducted a raid on Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf President Pervez Elahi’s house to arrest him. The raiding team searched Former CM Punjab’s house for almost three hours and took into custody nine people.
The Anti Corruption team was led by Additional Director Waqas Hasan with heavy contingents of Anti-Roit force. The case against Pervez Elahi was registered at ACE Gujranwala but police was not able to arrest him from his house.

Anti Corruption Establishment team also arrested a close friend of Pervez Elahi’s son, Moonis on Friday. The Provincial anti-graft body also booked the former chairman of Lahore Waste Management Company over corruption charges.
Police Raid Details
The police and Anti Corruption Team gathered outsife the residence of Zahoor Elahi at 11pm. Senior police officers and area SHOs were also present at the scene. They tried to enter the house but met with fierce resistance.
The employees of Elahi’s house also threw stones on police forces. Police after that sealed the house road at both sides launching the operation. After some time, legal team approached police and told that Elahi secured protective bail from court.
Water mixed with petrol and kerosene oil was also thrown at police from inside the house. After several attempts, police finally broke the main gate of house and arrested seven PTI workers.
The operation was over at 2am but police was not successfull to arest Pervez Elahi as he was not at home. According to media reports, nine other people including two women are taken into custody.
The PTI Chairman Imran Khan seriously condemned illegal raid on Pervez Elahi’s home with no respect and privacy of family members.

He said that, “Enough is enough. Tommorrow I will give roadmap to our nation on how to stand up against this destruction of our Constitution and Democracy”.
