ISPR rejected fake news of COAS visit to US

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on fake news of COAS visit to United States, saying its fake and baseless. The news was circulating that Army Chief Asim Munir will leave for US after his visit to United Kingdom.

The ISPR said that, “There have been fake speculation circulating on social media that COAS will visit US. It is clearly stated that Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan is on official visit to United Kingdom from 5th to 10th February for Pakistan-UK stabilization conference”. All the other news regarding his visit are fake and propaganda.

Pakistan-UK Stabilization Conference

Pakistan-UK stabilization conference is a 5th bi-annual conference held for military to military cooperation between the both friendly countries. The first conference held in 2016 after which senior military corporation participate in conference every time.

The British government invited COAS of Pakistan to attend the conference and Army chief left for it last week. The conference is held at Wilton Park, an agency created by UK commonwealth and development office. It is an agency to foster up dialogue between governments.

Pakistan and United Kingdom share a strong bilateral and military relationship between the nations. The European country always helped Pakistan in times of need. A lot of Royal officials of United Kingdom also visited Pakistan many times.

United Kingdom and Islamic Republic of Pakistan, both are the member of Commonwealth program, no doubt the countries share strong historical relationship. United Kingdom is also a home to a large population of Pakistani people where they live, study and work in peace and prosperity.
