Islamabad Medical College and Dr Akbar Niazi teaching hospital arranged a cricket tournament in Islamabad for students. Islamabad nursing hospital, Department of Physical therapy and Medical lab technology teams participated in cricket tournament.
The student faculty and staff members played matches in the event. The senior management of IMDC was also there to encourage the players. IMDC and ANTH managing director said that out medical college arrange extra co-curricular activities for students every year.

Ensuring healthy environment for students
He further added that our aim is to provide healthy environment to our students along with educational facilities. Our students are working around the world and practicing their medical learnings to serve community by inculcating values.
He said that our college is providing lifelong learning, physical fitness, educational knowledge and competent practice of medicine to our students.

IMDC media and communications in charge told media that cricket tournament was arranged to motivate students to be a part of extra co-curricular activities. He said that these kind of activities are helpful in keeping students healthy on mental as well as physical level. It will create awareness in society about living a healthy lifestyle.
He said that we arrange co-curricular activities every year which includes all kinds of sports, volley ball, basketball, badminton, cricket and other events like arts exhibitions, quizzes, drama societies and poetry competitions.
The management members showed their happiness saying that college arrange these activities to make sure the productive learning environment to increase intellectual and physical capabilities of students and staff members.
