Capital Development Authorities (CDA) decided to construct a Grand Garden at D-Chowk Islamabad before this Independence day. CDA along with joint efforts of private companies will design and contruct the plan for garden.
The Grand Garden will be built in front of Parliament Lodges to enhance the beauty of Federal Capital. It will be built as a memorial to democracy. All the citizens and Parliamentarians will be able to visit the Garden.

Chairman CDA directed all the officers and concerned authorities to complete the construction of Grand Garden before the Independence day. The Site survey for starting project should be completed within ten days, he ordered.
The Safety and security of Garden should be the priority during its construction. The garden will have two central gates and a fence around it to make sure the safety of visitors at any hours.
The Chairman CDA also visited the site with officers including DG Design, DG Environment, Member Planning. During the visit officers explained about the first hand plan where Chairman CDA directed them to immediately work on PC-I of the Project.
Green Belt in front of PTA
Chairman CDA also directed to built a green belt in front of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). This is to clean the environment and increase the beauty of surrounding areas of PTA office.

A large number of green trees and planrs will be planted along the green belt to provide shade for birds as well as to make it more attractive for public providing the best environment-friendly view.
