Israeli attacks on the areas of Deir Al-Balah, Nuseirat camp, and Al-Zawayda in central and southern Gaza led to an approximately 68 fatalities and many injured people overnight and into the morning of Friday, as reported by doctors in Gaza.
Negotiations were attempted by U.S. envoys but the Hamas group rejected the plans for a temporary truce and demanded Israel’s departure. Both the civilians from Lebanon and Palestine are in grave danger due to the fighting.
In an attack in the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis, the Israeli military claimed to have killed top Hamas official Izz al-Din Kassab, characterizing him as one of the few high-ranking Hamas officials still alive who was in charge of coordinating with other organizations in Gaza.
As per the doctors who are working at the camp’s Al-Awda Hospital, An attack on the gate of a school in Nuseirat that housed refugee Palestinians killed 14 individuals by the Israeli military. The Medics said that ten additional individuals were also killed in a car accident in Khan Younis area.
Medics said that another Israeli airstrike killed four people, including three children, while residents reported hours later that Israeli tanks drove on Nuseirat’s eastern and northern region.
According to the Israeli military, the Israel Defense Forces killed armed people in the northern Jabalia region and central Gaza. Israel’s military is continuously denying of intentionally harming and killing the civilians. Then it did not respond immediately to the school strike which killed 14 individuals at Nuseirat.
Israel also launched at least ten attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday morning. The neighborhood, which was formerly a heavily populated district and an important stronghold for Hezbollah, has not been bombarded in almost a week.
The total number of fatalities in Palestine so far today is around 43,259 and Israel around 1163.
