The Balloting Scheme for Hajj Applications has been postponed, it was scheduled for today. Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony postponed the balloting without announcing the new date.
Earlier, the Federal Government announced to extend the date of receiving Hajj applications till 9th of April. All the Hajj pilgrims were allowed to submit their Hajj applications according to extended date.

The Spokesperson to Minitry of Religious Affairs said that, this decision was taken in view of difficulties confronted by overseas Pakistanis in sending their applications.
He added that overseas Pakistanis have to send their amount to the Dollar account of Ministry of Religious affairs while their relatives here will have to maintain with concerned banks for verification and processing of amount. This is a long process and it takes time.
Application Date Extended
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony announced that extension of last date for Hajj application till April 7, 2023. Hajj Applications under the sponsorship scheme till April 7.
According to the recent notification issued by Ministry of Religious Affairs, The last date for Application submission was March 31 but aspirants of Hajj appealed to extend the date after which Ministry decided to extend it Till April 7th.
The Ministry also issued notice for all the offices local and international. Anyone getting sponsorship from overseas can also submit their application till the extended date. The list of banks for Hajj Application is also issued by Ministry of Religious affairs.

Ministry ordered all the banks to receive applications on Saturday and Sunday also. Banks will remain open on the weekend to facilitate the pilgrims.
