Pakistani melodious singer, a winner of Grammy award is nominated to perform again in Grammy this year. She is pleased to perform at prestigious awards and announced it on instagram as “I simply cannot wait to play my Grammy nominated Jam Udhero na along with Anoushka Shankar live at Grammys”.
She also requested her fans to watch the live show on February 5 at 12:30 pm PST. She posted a poster of her performance and told the live streaming details of YouTube and official Grammy site.
Arooj has also been nominated as “best global music performance” for her outstanding song “Udhero Na”. The other artists in competition with her are Matt B and Eddy Kenzo for “Gimme love”, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Noordhuis for “Bayethe”.

The singer got emotional while remembering her first performance at the age of 15. She said that I am very emotional at this time we are going to perform for 20 minutes, I don’t know how would I do that but the feeling is so wholesome.
First Urdu song in Grammys
Arooj Aftab also congratulated other competitive singers for nomination. It is first time in the history that any Urdu language song will be performed on stage like Grammy.
The Grammy is the United States based singing award show which nominates the best accomplishments in singing field. Many people around the world consider Grammy as the most prestigious award in the industry.
