Safe City projects Balochistan have gained new momentum as Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti directed the timely completion of schemes being executed in nine cities of the province. Additional Chief Secretary Home Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat said the schemes are in the active development stage.

The projects feature modern surveillance systems, with AI-based monitoring and high-definition cameras. The tools are designed to help authorities monitor criminal activity, prevent crime and improve emergency response, giving residents more peace of mind in busy urban areas.

Chief Minister Bugti and Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz agreed to work together on a joint venture between their respective Safe City authorities. Punjab has assured institutional support, staff training, capacity building and technical assistance.
