Threads app launched by Meta has not been able to maintain its engagement rate. It had a record 100 million downloads in just five days but the growth rate inside the app is quite slow.
The Managing Director of the technology app said, “The Threads launch really did break the internet, or at least the Sensor Tower Models. In the 10-plus years, Sensor Tower has been estimating app installs, the first 72 hours of Threads were truly in a class by itself”.

The data from Sensor Tower suggests that the number of daily active users from the platform was down about 20% and the time spent by users was also down by 50%.
Twitter Traffic also down
After the launch of Threads, Twitter web traffic was also down by 5% from the previous week. As it is early to admit the reports but Threads do have potential to steal engagements from Twitter.
The app starts to fill in missing features like hastags and topical search.
