Maintaining your fitness during Ramadan in the summer may be difficult due to all the changes in eating and sleeping patterns. Here are some suggestions from ANI on how to stay healthy and fit throughout the festival.

Suhoor, a meal consumed before dawn during Ramadan, is regarded as the most important meal of the day, much like breakfast is in our daily routine.

It’s important to prepare a wholesome dinner using a balanced ingredient list. Additionally, you need energy to remain active throughout the day if you are fasting until dusk.

There will undoubtedly be a strong urge to overeat at iftar after a full day of uninterrupted fasting, which could result in exhaustion, stomach discomfort, and digestive issues.

To avoid consuming junk food and empty calories during Ramadan, it’s also crucial to include enough dairy and protein in your meals. By consuming foods that take longer to digest, hunger symptoms can easily be avoided.

1. Keep yourself hydrated

Sip as much liquid as you can during suhoor and iftar. Fresh juices, smoothies, protein shakes, and other similar beverages can be used to spice it up.

Avoid consuming coffee, tea, or sweetened aerated drinks as they may make you thirstier and ultimately dehydrate you.

2. Exercise

Try to keep your body active by performing regular household chores, going to work, or other activities.

Try simple movements like standing or walking. Fasting has a special ability to burn fat, and walking also has a significant impact on your body.
