National Immunization Campaign for Polio eradication is starting from 16 January, 2023. Almost 2 million polio workers are trained for participating in national immunization drive to clean Pakistan from polio.
During the two week exercise in Punjab operations center, more than 200,000 workers as well as their officials were trained. In the second phase of training more than 180,000 workers participated in training.

Polio Eradication Initiative
The polio teams are directed to look over vaccine chain maintenance, children vaccination, route map development, data collection on sheets and interpersonal communication values. Khizer Afzaal, the head Punjab polio programme had directed the officials to look over the trainings and manage the good quality of training.
He further said that polio has been detected in some big cities of Punjab and we want polio free Pakistan. The government is trying its best but it cannot be possible without the support of parents.

This training is provided under Polio Eradication Initiative, this eradication team has been working in Pakistan to eradicate polio virus. The polio eradication initiative is working with 285,000 workers in whole country.
Due to hard work of polio eradication team Pakistan, polio cases have declined by up to 99 %. But still we need complete vaccinations to make Pakistan polio free in future.
