X previously known as twitter which is a popular social media platform, has announced its intention to collaborate with the Pakistani Government to address concerns. Which are raised over the recent Ban imposed on its services. This decision  comes after Authorities explain about Security reasons for the ongoing two-month ban. For two months X(twitter) has not worked in Pakistan.

 X’s Global Government Affairs team released a statement and they expressed their Commitment to working with the Pakistani Government for better understand the issues at hand. This marks their first official response since the disruption of their services in the country.

X Ban in Pakistan

The ban on X, formerly known as Twitter, was initiated on February 17, coinciding with calls for protests by the PTI party following allegations of electoral fraud in the February elections. The Interior Ministry, in a report submitted to the Islamabad High Court. In which they stated that the Ban was imposed due to Security concerns.

However, amidst legal challenges to the ban, the Sindh High Court has ordered the government to restore access to X within a week. Moiz Jaaferi, who is a lawyer involved in the case, informed AFP that failure to comply with the court’s directive may result in further Legal actions.

The court’s decision is anticipated to be made public this week, shedding light on the fate of X’s accessibility in Pakistan.
