A three day winter sports festival 2023 is starting today in Gilgit Baltistan. This sports event is held every year in Skardu attracting a lot of people participating in different activities. Tourist from all around the world enjoys the event in beautiful mountains of Pakistan.
According to the report the main event of this festival includes Ice Hockey, Yake Race, rafting, lightening, folk music performances, off-road rally and many more. There will be food stalls of traditional food from Gilgit Baltistan.

Canadian high commissioner about festival
The festival will start with Yake race and other games while end on Thursday with mega competition of ice polo. Addressing the opening ceremony of Winter festival Canadian High Commissioner said that we are working with people of GB to provide them with best education, food and hospital facilities.
The administration of festival has also established women expo in which woman will represent food, handicrafts, and other handmade items. The hotel association of GB will provide free hotel service for guests to attend the festival.
In the district administration of Ghanche, winter festival starts in city park, Khaplu. The sports competition comprises of Ice skating, Balti cultural shows musical nights, volleyball rock climbing and many more.

Every year huge crowd attends this festival, the association of Hunza tourism said that these types of festivals promote tourism and promote the beauty of Pakistan to international borders. It creates a sense of belonging with culture and art of any nation and attracts number of people from different cultures promoting best relationships among nations.
