Justice Abid Hussain Chathha of Lahore High Court approved the decision to hear the two petitions about removal of Imran Khan as party head of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf as he is disqualified due to Toshakhana case.
The Judge has not yet announced his verdict on whether the case will be heard by a larger bench or by a single bench. The petitions was filed by Advocate Muhammad Afaq and another on behalf of citizen, Muhammad Junaid.

The petitions mainly contained the argument that Election Commission of Pakistan disqualified the former Prime Minister and de-seated him from Mianwali on corruption charge.
The judge listened the arguements of lawyer as well as the petitions, and announced to fix the petitions before May 19. The petitions argue that Imran Khan is violating the laws by holding Chairman office according to Pakistani Law.
The petitions also mentioned the disqualification of Nawaz Shareef under articles 62 and 63. The request asked High court to order ECP for removal of Imran Khan as PTI chairman.
Al-Qadir Trust Case
Imran Khan is also nabbed for corruption of billions in establishment of his Al-Qadir University project just weeks after his Cabinet’s decision regarding a real estate developer who also became the University donor.
Imran Khan was arrested from Islamabad High Court where he was present to get bail in various other cases. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) asked Imran to come and give accountability on case.

The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Imran Khan is also booked in many other cases which he is getting bail on. After not responding to NAB notice, rangers took him away and currently he is in police lines where accountability case is going on.
