Ro Khanna, an American politician and lawyer serving as the U.S. representative from California’s 17th congressional district, is set to lead a large United States (U.S.) delegation, which will participate in the Red Fort address of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15, India’s Independence Day.
The delegation led by Ro Khanna also includes Michael Waltz, an American politician and U.S. Army officer serving as the U.S. representative for Florida’s 6th congressional district. They are the co-chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Caucus on the Republic of India and Indian Americans. They will attend PM Modi’s address to the nation on India’s Independence Day.
The team of US delegation includes Deborah Ross, an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for North Carolina’s 2nd congressional district; Kat Cammack, an American politician and political advisor serving as the U.S. representative for Florida’s 3rd congressional district; Shri Thanedar, an American businessman and politician serving as the U.S. representative from Michigan’s 13th congressional district; Jasmine Crockett, an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative from Texas’s 30th congressional district; Rich McCormick, an American politician representing Georgia’s 6th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives; and Ed Case, an American lawyer and Democratic politician.
According to reports, the US delegation will also hold a meeting with business, tech and government leaders as well as Indian celebrities in Mumbai, Hyderabad and New Delhi. They will also visit Raj Ghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi, India.
Earlier this year, Ro Khanna and Michael Waltz also hosted a US-India Summit in Capitol Hill, the largest historic residential neighborhood in Washington, United States.

US Congressman Ro Khanna has already arrived in New Delhi, the capital of the Republic of India and a part of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
