Sania Mirza said goodbye to Tennis

The Tennis icon of India, Sania Mirza announced to end her professional tennis career after playing Dubai open in February. The Tennis star Sania Mirza posted a picture on her instagram with her racquet with a caption “life update” and then posted an emotional story of ending her tennis career.

Her recent post of leaving tennis left her fans in tears, Sania told that she will say goodbye to Tennis after the next Dubai Tennis Championship. In her post, she explained about her journey in tennis career and at the end paid thanks to her family and friends for support. She also told that now she will only focus on her son.

Mirza’s Tennis Journey

Mirza in her instagram post told fans that thirty years ago, a 6 year old girl from Nasr School Hyderabad stepped onto a tennis club with her mom fighting with coach to let her learn tennis. She still remembers her mother’s efforts to help her learning tennis. That was time when she dared to dream about representing her country on international level.

Sania also added that winning some medals for country had been her biggest honour, with Almighty’s grace. She also thanked her fans by saying its all of you, who have helped me passing my toughest phases of life through endless support and help, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

She told that its only tennis that I have known throughout my life and it’s been 20 years of being a professional athlete and 30 years as a tennis player, and I can’t forget my journey of starting tennis as a kid.

Sania Mirza, wife of Pakistani player Shoaib Malik, was set to retire from tennis last year, but due to her injury, retirement got postponed to this year 2023 after playing Dubai open in next month.
