Once again Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Justice and Development Party won the elections in Turkiye. According to initial unofficial results he won 49% of the votes but chances of votes are above 50% without any doubt.
While speaking to his supporters after winning the elections, he said “We all are waiting for outcome of national will, though unofficial results have been announced, clear lead is already shown”.

“Turkiye has once again proven that it is among World’s leading democracies with its commitment to superiority of national will, freedom of its citizens in their political choice”, Recep Tayyip added.
Runoff vote Scheduled in Turkiye
The voting event ended at 5pm and tense night prevailed in Turkiye with the opening of ballot boxes. Kemal Kilicdaroglu, rival of Erdogan did not secured more than 50% of vote, setting up a runoff vote scheduled for May 28, 2023.
The opposition bloc of six parties also opposed the vote count, claiming their candidate Kamal was ahead of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

They contested the official results and cried foul over results announced by Public News Agency Anadolu Agency (AA).
