According to Pharmaceutical firm management of Pakistan, country is facing great challenges in availability of medicines for many chronic diseases, which resulted in protest decision by pharmacies.
The pharmaceutical companies reported that there is no insulin left in Pakistani pharmacies, drugs for kidney and cardiac diseases are also out of stock whereas the demand for these medicines is increasing day by day.

Pharmaceutical firms report that the shortage is because of government negligence towards health factor, there are no scientific laboratories in Pakistan and government is not even supporting import of drugs from other countries.

Pakistani Drug Lawyer President Noor Maher reported that heavy amount of drugs already reached the Karachi post and Lahore ports but the senior authorities are not paying attention of custom clearance of stock.
The Drug lawyer reported that 91% of drug material is imported to Pakistan from China, Japan and other countries, and low number of laborites in Pakistan is causing serious issues in manufacture of medicines.
She put pressure on government authorities on behalf of all pharmaceutical firms to give attention in solving this issue otherwise there will be protest in all over the country and no pharmacy will stay open tomorrow onwards.
The country Pakistan is full of natural resources and talent in medical field. There is only need of good management and transparency in health field. Pakistani government should pay more attention towards the health factor, building more research laboratories in which expert scientists in medical field should be hired for manufacturing of proper medicines for all diseases.
