Board of Control for Cricket in India is set to forward list of Indian players to the Indian Olympic Association. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will miss the Asian Games as the board is planning to send Team B for games.
The team A of India will be busy in playing the ICC Cricket World Cup set to commence from October. The team B will participate in Asian Games which will not include senior players of Indian Cricket Team.

No Senior player for Asian Games
Senior players of Indian cricket team like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Shami, Bumrah and KL Rahul will be busy playing for the 50-over World Cup.
BCCI selected comprising players like Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Umran Malik for Asian Games. Indian cricket board agrees to send men, women cricket team after 12 years. The team left out in 2018 edition in Jakarta, the team is now finally returning in Asian Games in Hangzhou.
This is not the first time when India will field two national teams in Asian games, back in 1998, one Indian team turned out at the Commonwealth Games while another team faced Pakistan in Sahara Cup.

Earlier in 2021, India fielded two teams with Shikar Dhawan-led second-string team playing against Sri Lanka while another team led by Virat Kohli was in London laying Test series.
