Landsliding due to thunder and lightening storm on the main road near Khyber PakhtunKhwa Pass buried more than 20 trucks and killed 2 people leaving many injured and trapped in.
The Deputy Commissioner of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported about the incident saying two Afghan citizens are killed in the landslide and authorities are trying hard to rescue the bodies.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Faizi also said that eight injured people are provided with the first aid care and four are seriously injured, had been moved to the nearby hospital for further treatment.
Fire broke out in mountains
Right after landsliding fire also broke out immediately as drivers were cooking meals for sehri on gas stoves. The fire is now under control and rescue teams are searching for injured and missing people.
Heavy machinery including 12 ambulances, four vehicles, three excavators are deployed at the site for rescue work.
According to the notification issued by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authority, the landslide took place on Pakistan-Afghanistan Torkham Border at 2:30 am.
About 20 vehicles were suppressed under the landslide. Emergency rescue teams from Charsadda, Nowshera, Peshawar and Mardan are also participating in the rescue operation.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef expressed his grief and sorrow on this sad incident. He directed the concerned authorities to speed up the rescue work and restore the road for normal traffic as soon as possible.
