According to media reports, Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan will remain cold and dry during the next 24 hours.
Lately, Karachi has also witnessed ‘unhealthy’ levels of pollution, which the meteorological department said would continue for some time, pushing health experts to warn that these weather conditions could cause several infections. Moreover, people should avoid exposing themselves to such air quality to prevent ‘lasting effects’.
The weather experts and officials said it was an impact of change in the wind direction, confidently adding that although it was ‘very unhealthy’, it was not an abnormal or a new phenomenon.
