Ruling by the Election Commission of Pakistan
Following the ruling by the Election Commission of Pakistan in the case involving the party’s prohibited funding, PDM leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday demanded that “Imran Khan should be made an example of” while announcing that the coalition’s decision to refer the PTI chairman under Article 62 (1)(f) of the Constitution.
The electoral watchdog determined on Tuesday that PTI had “wilfully” and “knowingly” accepted illegal cash from many foreign contributors. The commission also stated in its judgement that it was “forced to hold that Imran Khan failed to execute his duty as prescribed by the Pakistani legislation.”
Multi – Party Alliance at The PM House
After a meeting of the multi-party alliance at the PM House to decide the course of action against Imran Khan, the PDM leader stated at a news conference that “a reference should be filed against Imran Khan since he is no more Sadiq and Amin (truthful and honest).”
Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, also attended the meeting.
Additionally, he urged that the PTI chairman be added to the Exit Control List (ECL), pleading with “all institutions to defend” Pakistan.

Imprison The Former Premier & PTI Office Holders
The chairman of Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazl, urged officials to imprison the former premier and PTI office holders.
He said that “all the political parties have decided to take action” against Imran Khan and his party as they were now “confirmed criminals,” saying that “whether it is Imran Khan or Dr. Arif Alvi, [they] should immediately resign from the party because they have proven to be criminals.”
Imran Khan Tried To “run away” From The ECP
The JUI-F chairman claimed that Imran tried to “run away” from the ECP for eight years by making accusations against the organisation and its leader. Maulana Fazl said, “He blackmailed the ECP, but the commission is a [independent] organisation and it can’t distort the facts.”
Mr. Khan and his supporters have criticised the ECP and Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja on several occasions, charging them with prejudice. However, the ECP refuted each and every charge.
