Gohar Calls For Unconditional Talks With Government To Resolve Pakistan’s Political Disputes

Gohar unconditional talks

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has called for Gohar unconditional talks with the government, maintaining that dialogue remains an important avenue for resolving political differences in the country. The PTI chairman said meaningful discussions could support political stability, democracy and the wider national interest.

Gohar stated that PTI had not rejected negotiations but wanted talks to proceed without preconditions. He also criticised restrictions on the opposition while the government was offering dialogue, arguing that political differences should be addressed through direct engagement rather than continued public exchanges.

Gohar urges government to pursue meaningful political dialogue

Gohar said political parties should sit together without conditions to find solutions to Pakistan’s ongoing political disputes. He maintained that PTI remained willing to engage with government representatives and had continued contacts aimed at opening a path towards negotiations.

The PTI chairman also called for meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan and sought the release of arrested party leaders. On Khan’s medical treatment, Gohar said a doctor from Lahore could provide the required care instead of bringing a physician from London.

Gohar further opposed any move towards governor’s rule or emergency measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, pointing to the province’s serious security challenges. His remarks placed renewed emphasis on political dialogue as a means of reducing tensions while allowing democratic processes to continue.

Political engagement remains central to resolving disputes regarding Gohar unconditional talks

Gohar criticised the reliance on press conferences for addressing political disagreements, saying greater attention to negotiations could have helped settle differences. The comments reflected PTI’s continued position that dialogue should remain open despite disagreements between the opposition and government.

He also rejected reports of a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, explaining that he had instead met Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas regarding preparations for an All Parties Conference. Gohar reiterated support for unconditional negotiations, keeping political engagement at the centre of PTI’s approach to Pakistan’s ongoing disputes.
