The government of Pakistan announced free distribution of wheat flour among people, a first of its kind scheme in Pakistan to facilitate needy and providing them ease for the month of Ramadan. A special Ramadan Relief package was also approved by Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef in high level meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef and attended by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and other high officials of Federal cabinet. During the meeting, PM Shahbaz Shareef said that free wheat flour would be provided to needy people of Punjab.

The government would also extend this relief package to other provinces of Pakistan. Chief Secretary of Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman and Finance Secretary Mujahid Sherdil briefed Prime Minister about the details of Ramzan Relief Package.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef directed the concerned authorities to complete the process quickly and start providing free wheat flour to public as soon as possible.
Final Ramadan Relief Package
The Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef tweeted that, “Finalised Ramzan Package today prepared by Punjab government. Under this package the poor will be given flour free of cost. Federal government will work with other provinces to launch similar schemes for benefit of people affected by inflation”.
In another tweet he added that, “Urged the nation to pray for Country’s progress, prosperity on Shab e Baraat. He also asked the Ummah to pray for flood affected people of Pakistan and earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria”.
Following another Tweet, Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef also congratulated the Pakistani Hindu Community on Holi festival. He also marked his words on International Women day and said that our government is committed to ensure the equal rights for women and men in society.
He further said that media, civil society and government should work together in protecting the rights of women in country. Women are pride of national and our government is atking effective steps for inclusion of women in National mainstream.
He said that our motive is to provide all opportunities equally for women in every sector including education and employment. He said that it is an encouraging part that women are now leading in every sphere of life whether domestic or leadership roles.

Shahbaz Shareef expressed his satisfaction on women role and independence in services of nation in a very dignified manner. He said that entire society needs to join hands in empowering our mothers, daughters and sisters.
