Pakistan Hajj App Adds Substitute Feature Now

The Pakistan Hajj App has added a new digital facility to allow successful applicants to name close relatives for substitution in case of any unforeseen circumstances preventing their participation in the pilgrimage. The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has introduced an online substitute nomination facility on both the Pak Hajj App and the Hajj Digital Portal, making the process more accessible for Pakistani pilgrims.

Pakistan Hajj App Launches Online Alternative Nomination.

For the new system, nominees can be close family members who are eligible and who cannot travel due to emergencies. The facility also caters for cases where a successful applicant dies, and a relative can make an online request to take their place.

New Feature In Hajj Portal Eases Substitution Process

The substitute nominated must already be registered on the Hajj portal, and the application must be accompanied by relevant supporting documents. You must upload medical or death certificates to justify the reason for the substitution requested and to support the verification process of the ministry.

An important benefit is that the Hajj dues already paid by the original applicant will be automatically transferred. There will not be any further payment to be made by the substitute pilgrim, which will reduce the financial complications of the affected families.

Pakistan Launches Digital Hajj Services For Pilgrims

The ministry has also established several facilities to improve the overall experience of Hajj registration and management. The digital platform enables pilgrims to select and customise short and long packages for Hajj, select their accommodation preferences and manage medical fitness certificates.

Other services include online applications for Mahram and helper arrangements under hardship quota, cancellation and refund requests. These improvements are a consequence of Pakistan’s continuous efforts to make services related to pilgrimage more accessible, more organised and more transparent through digital administration.

The wider platform can reduce unnecessary visits to government offices and allow pilgrims to manage important arrangements from home. The facility of substitute nomination also adds to the administrative flexibility by providing families with a structured option in case of unexpected disruption to their Hajj plans.
