Nawaz Sharif Centre of Excellence
The Nawaz Sharif Centre of Excellence for Special Education has been inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Hassan Abdal, Attock district. The facility marks an important step towards strengthening specialised education in Punjab and expanding learning opportunities for children with disabilities.
Nawaz Sharif Centre Of Excellence Opens In Attock
It is the first centre in Rawalpindi Division and has been upgraded from the previous Government Special Education Centre, Hassan Abdal. The program shows the provincial government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and providing supportive environments for children with a variety of learning needs.
Inclusive Education Supported By Specialised Facilities
The refurbished centre has specially designed learning areas with audio-visual aids to assist children with speech and hearing impairments. Interactive learning environments, recreational facilities and music and activity rooms have been created to support cognitive development, communication and participation.
These facilities are designed to make education more accessible and to cater to the individual learning needs of children. The mix of vocational and recreational activities also allows for opportunities in the development of practical skills, confidence and independence, reinforcing the wider framework of special education in Pakistan.
Attock Development Package
The inauguration was followed by a slew of development announcements for Attock, including a reported Rs31.75 billion development package for the infrastructure and public services in the region.
