President Zardari Expresses the Futuristic Notion in “Chinese Business Delegation”

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, welcomed the Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong on Thursday and one of the important economic events “Chinese Business Delegations” took place in Karachi at Bilawal House. President Zardari addressed the prime purpose of this delegation, which is the greater investment of Chinese in Pakistan in the sectors like agriculture, livestock, energy, transport, and manufactures. 

The importance of enhancing the bilateral relationship of the two countries, the Chinese consul general riveted the Pakistan officials revealing the plan of investing $1 billion in their country to construct a medical city with advanced healthcare sector, developing the Gwadar port into an economic hub, has been discussed during the delegations by both Pakistan and Chinese officials.

“The relations between the two countries are rooted in history since they are spread over decades. Pakistan is committed to facilitating and supporting Chinese investors in every possible way” – President Zardari

Other Pakistan Officials who attended this meeting are, 

  • Syed Murad Ali Shah – Chief Minister of Sindh
  • Sharjeel Inam Memon – Minister of Transport and Information
  • Syed Nasir Hussain Shah – Minister for Energy, Planning, and Development
  • Syed Qasim N Qamar – Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Investment and Public Private Partnerships

Previously, the Chinese Business Delegations took place multiple times in Pakistan during which the Chinese delegators visited ICCI (Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) to strengthen bilateral ties.
