No Helmet, No Petrol

The Lahore and Rawalpindi administration has implemented a policy known as ‘no helmet, no petrol’ in an effort to enhance the safety of motorcyclists and save them from dangerous road accidents.

According to the details, the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore issued a notification stating that petrol will not be sold to motorcyclists who are not wearing helmets. Fine will also be imposed on motorcryclists for not wearing helmets.

The decision came from the higher authorities when a large number of citizens complain about serious injuries in road accidents due to the lack of helmet usage.

Prohibited from entering roads

The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Lahore, Mustansar Feroze also announced that no motorcyclists without helmets would be prohibited from entering all roads.

Over a period of six months, actions were taken against 810,000 motocyclists found without helmets. The implementation of these measures has reportedly led to a significant decrease in the number of road accidents.

The crackdown and the importance of helmet usage for motorcyclists will prevent and save citizens from road accidents. It will promote road safety and make citizens learn the rules of traffic.
