Pitch curators have started giving final touches to Rawalpindi pitches as white-ball matches between Pakistan and New Zealand will now shift to Pindi stadium for fourth T20 to be played on Thursday.
International Cricket Council (ICC) last year awarded Rawalpindi stadium for a below average rating. But now the situation is changed as the stadium provided best sensational power hitting to local and international players in past few matches.

Even in the test cricket with England, it witnessed record runs of 500 and same turned out to be the case in Pakistan Super League (PSL) while chasing 240 runs in T20 match which was impossible.
Head Curator Sarfaraz Ahmad said that, “We have prepared different pitches for four matches to be played in Rawalpindi stadium. Pindi stadium always offer attraction to the bowlers having exceptional skills”.
Four matches in Rawalpindi Stadium
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host four International Cricket matches starting from 30th April. Pakistani Cricket Team is all set to play second ODI against New Zealand. Four matches are allotted to Pindi Stadium.
Rawalpindi stadium recently hosted the most numbers of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023. Earlier Pindi Stadium was set to hosted two T20 internationals on April 20 and April 24. Now it is finalised that New Zealand tour matches will also be played in Rawalpindi.
According to the news source from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), it is confirmed that Pindi stadium will host four international matches of New Zealand Tournament, two ODI and two T20. The first three T20 will be played in Gaddafi stadium Lahore.

Pakistan is also allotted to host coming Champions Trophy in 2025 and India will then be allowed to choose their own neutral venue for matches.
