Two Year imprisonment for Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi was sentenced with two years imprisonment but he walked free on bail after the appeal acceptance. However, court has ruled him ineligible to sit in Parliament and continue with his political duties.
Rahul Gandhi is a leading figure of Congress Party, he was always seen in front regarding any political issue in India. He was charged in case of making ill remarks against Modi, saying all the thieves have Modi surname common.
He comments were considered as smear remarks against all those who use Modi surname. Information Minister Anurag Thakur talked to media and said, “Rahul Gandhi is a habitual loose cannon and he think he can say anything without ever facing the consequences”.

Several senior Ministers in past have been disqualified from Parliament and politics due to same cases including a state Chief Minister, Indra Gandhi, grandmother of Rahul Gandhi. She was forced out of chamber in 1977 while she was Prime Minister of country.
