Pakistani top Batsman Babar Azam conferred with Sitara E Imtiaz, Pakistan’s third highest civilian award. Babar Azam remained captain of Pakistani team in all formats of Cricket. He is presented with the award on Pakistan Day Celebrations by Governor Baligh ur Rahman.
The 28 year old captain became the youngest cricketer of Pakistan to receive Sitara e Imtiaz for giving his outstanding performances as a player of Pakistani cricket team.

Taking it to Twitter, Captain Babar Azam shared his emotional thoughts and dedicated the honour to his parents, fans and all people of Pakistan.
He wrote, “Immense honour to have received Sitara e Imtiaz in the presence of my mother and father. This award is for my parents, fans and people of Pakistan”. He tweeted adding a picture with his family and award.

Earlier, Sarfaraz Ahmad also got the third highest civilian award Sitara e Imtiaz as the youngest person. Sarfaraz Ahmad led Pakistan to win Champions Trophy title. He was given the award by Governor of Sindh Muhammad Zubair.
Babar Azam scored total of 3696 runs in 47 tests with an average of 48.63. In total of 99 T20 matches Babar earned 3355 runs with an average of 41.41. Babar Azam also won a lot of other awards on his achievments during the Cricket career.
He proved his talent as one of the best captain for Pakistani Cricket Team. Under his captaincy Pakistan also defeated India in world cup and also reached the final of T20 World cup.

Other than Babar and Sarfaraz, Misbah ul Haq, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Muhammad Yousaf, Saeed Ajmal and Inzimam ul Haq also won the awards for their outstanding performances.
