The price of flour mills in twin cities Rawalpindi and Islamabad is increased again for the third time in a week. The price of flour bag before increasing was Rs 1875 for 15 kg. The major cause of this increase is worst management between demand and supply communication of food department and flour mills.
Prime minister announced the relief package but it is of no use because USC, utility store corporation itself increased the prices of daily usage items like sugar, ghee and flour. The residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad are forced to buy high price flour because of shortage of subsidized flour from markets.

Appeal to CM Punjab Pervez Elahi
The people of twin cities requested CM Punjab Pervez Elahi to take immediate notice on high prices of daily use items. The profiteers and shopkeepers are storing the items and making difficult the availability of daily commodities for public.
The hike in prices of sugar and ghee is also observed, price of sugar rise up to Rs 19 kg , ghee Rs 75 kg. The new prices for the public is implemented from 1st January 2023.
The residents of Rawalpindi appealed to DC Rawalpindi and CM Punjab to take strict action against the shopkeepers who are stocking the commodities for creating shortage in market and raising the price to high level.

Whereas the high price implementation will not be applicable for Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) benefiters. DC Rawalpindi Capt. Retd Shoaib Ali said that this high price is because of private flour mill owners, they produce flour on high quality and then demand double price for it. He said that we are working on terms with private flour mills and soon public will get a better relief in this regard.
