4th Day of Haqeeqi Azadi March
Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), began the fourth day of his “Haqeeqi Azadi” long march with an aggressive tweet. He claimed that the sea of people he was accompanied by on the roads indicated the beginning of a revolution and queried “handlers and facilitators” as to whether they would permit a peaceful revolution through voting or a bloody one.
“The sea of people during our lengthy march on the GT Road. I’ve been watching a six-month revolution take over the nation. The only remaining question is whether it will be peaceful through voting or violent through bloodshed.”
On the other hand, after predicting a million people would support his march, former prime minister and PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif mocked Mr. Khan for “failing” to collect even 2,000 people.
Country’s Stability and Sovereignty
No establishment can stand against its people because their unity alone can guarantee a country’s stability and sovereignty, the PTI chief said in his address on Monday at the beginning of the march from Kamoke.
He added urged the establishment to avoid siding with corrupt officials and looters since they will be seen as belonging to the same group. Mr. Khan reiterated that God forbade anyone from being impartial, claiming that the establishment would be ashamed of itself.
He also criticised the families of Sharif and Zardari for receiving a “NRO” from the late Gen. Pervez Musharraf. He claimed that “the establishment again placed such corrupt robbers on the masses — after dry-cleaning” after the “people of Pakistan evicted them by giving us [PTI] the mandate to rule in 2018”.
Imran Khan Would Never Talk with Shehbaz Sharif
Mr. Khan claimed that he wanted to make it clear to those in positions of authority that he would never engage in dialogue with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whom he described as an establishment ‘tout’ with “polished boots.”

“If the people and institutions look in the opposite directions, no institution can work,” he said, adding that he was the only leader who had the support of the people because he had won seven out of eight National Assembly seats in a single election and had won 75% of the by-elections held in the previous six months, setting a “world record.”
Residents of Entire Nation to Travel to Nation’s Capital
At three different locations throughout the long march—Kamoke, Morr Aimenabad, and Chan Da Qila, which marked the day’s finale and was located about 12 kilometres outside of Gujranwala—the former premier addressed the participants. He said that he would spend the entire Tuesday (today) in Gujranwala and claimed that due to the march’s sluggish pace, it would take him eight to nine additional days to get in Islamabad. He extended an invitation to residents of the entire nation to travel to the nation’s capital.
The PTI leader claimed that despite attempts by the “imported administration and its handlers” to close their eyes and block TV coverage, the entire nation was watching the “revolution” approach towards Islamabad, even on their mobile phones.
IHC Overturned Election Commision’s Decision
After declaring that the Islamabad High Court had overturned the election commission’s decision to disqualify him, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja was criticised by the former premier for being dishonest and acting as a pawn for the Sharif family.
He declared that he will serve the CEC with a Rs. 10 billion defamation notice after Mr. Raja called into question his integrity. He added that due of his “honesty and integrity,” people donated Rs 9 billion to Shaukat Khanum Hospital and supported his Namal and Al-Qadir Universities.
