Investigating team in the plots’ allotment matter
Farhat Shahzadi, also known as Farah Khan, a close friend of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf head Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, appears to have received a “clean chit” from the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) investigating team in the plots’ allotment matter.
Early in July, the administration of Hamza Shehbaz had detained Farah and her mother in connection with the alleged unauthorised transfer of two industrial sites totaling ten acres to a business owned by her.
ACE Joint investigation team
An official source stated, “The ACE joint investigation team did not identify involvement of Farah and others in creating financial damage to the exchequer,” and they suggested sending their results to the Special Economic Zone Authority for additional examination.

Abdul Wahid, a spokesman for ACE, neither confirmed nor denied that the inquiry into Farah and others had been closed.
Farah and her husband Ahsan Jamil Gujjar were summoned by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore in July as part of an inquiry into a case involving income beyond means and money laundering.
Farah returned to Pakistan from the UAE
Attaullah Tarar, the special assistant to the prime minister, had made arrangements to request “red warrants” to have Farah returned to Pakistan from the UAE, where she had travelled just days before the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan was successful.
Fascinatingly, Mr. Tarar had also requested that Imran Khan summon Farah back to the nation if he truly believed that she was innocent. He asserted that Imran was not bringing her back because she and her husband would be made approvers within an hour after their detention.
Farah, however, has said that her “media trial” is being held to discredit the former first lady and that she is “innocent.”
