Flood victims in Pakistan’s Balochistan region
Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan has instructed the provision of immediate humanitarian aid and assistance to flood victims in Pakistan’s Balochistan region.
The ERC quickly began implementing the first part of the relief programme to ensure that thousands of families’ basic needs, including food and shelter, are satisfied.
The initial phase concentrates on delivering assistance to flood-affected areas, such as the districts of Lasbela and Jhal Magsi.
Later, the administration will dispatch assistance convoys to other districts of the province to assist citizens in dealing with the current situation and overcoming the problems they have in terms of obtaining food and shelter.

Humanitarian programmes to assist flood victims
As part of its humanitarian programmes to assist flood victims, the ERC considers the needs of vulnerable populations such as children, women, the elderly, and others.
It is pertinent to state that more than a thousand families will benefit from this initiative — the core of the UAE’s interest in supporting stability in all countries. The initiative also signifies the solid standing of the all-weather ties between the UAE and Pakistan.
Rains in different parts of Balochistan till August 14
On Wednesday, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) predicted more rains in different parts of Balochistan till August 14.
As per the report issued by PDMA, flooding is expected in various areas of Balochistan as heavy rains are expected from August 10-14.
