Pakistan, on Monday, sealed a series win against Zimbabwe after winning the 2nd Test by an innings and 147 runs at the Harare Sports Club.
The men in green had won the first test against Zimbabwe by an innings and 116 runs. Zimbabwe, earlier in the tour, lost the T20I series 2-1 to the guest Pakistan side.
It took only five overs on the fourth day for Pakistan to get the solitary wicket they needed to complete the 2-0 sweep over Zimbabwe. Pakistan bowled them out for 231 to win by an innings and 147 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi coaxed Luke Jongwe into a drive that was caught as an edge by wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan.
Reacting to this, former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja has said that Zimbabwe should not play Test cricket and should shift their focus on white-ball commitments instead.

He said that continuous one-sided matches involving the Zimbabwean team would hamper the longest format’s viewership.
Raja, speaking on his YouTube channel, said Zimbabwe didn’t learn from their continuous and repetitive mistakes in the Test series against Pakistan. He said “such mismatch series” will negatively impact the already dwindling spectatorship for Test cricket and force people to switch to other sports instead of cricket.
“Test cricket is already under severe pressure and very few people watch it. Such mismatch contests should not take place. If people are shown such one-sided matches, they will switch to watching football or some other entertaining sport. 3-day Test match is a joke,” maintained Raja.
“People, usually, are of the opinion that when a strong team plays against a weak team, the weaknesses need to be focused instead of the outcome of the match,” he went on.
“You learn from how the strong team plays and the way it keeps adapting to the changing situations in the game. I don’t think Zimbabwe learned a single bit from this series as they were dominated throughout by Pakistan,” said the former Test cricketer.
