17 months jail on Sexual harassment

The Cyber Crime section of FIA repirted that a man named Majid Zia has been sentenced 17 months prison in case of sexual harassment. Cyber Crime circle spokesperson said that offender is accused of sharing objectionable pictures of women on social media.

Majid Zia from Faisalabad is sentenced for 17 months jail and Rs 1.5 million fine in sexual harassment case. The court punished Majid Zia under the Prevention Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 after the case was registered by Cyber Crime Circle FIA. According to the case details Majid Zia shared objectionable picture of women in 2022.

Medical student rape case

Earlier a medical students also filed a case against an industrialist family of allegedly kidnapping, torturing and filming her video. Khadija Ghafoor submitted her application to police, the court and Faisalabad Commissioner.

The case had been registered against Sheikh Danish and others of raping and filming the victim. Last year in August the video footage of Khadija being tortured got viral on social media. Police took the action after video got viral on social media.
