UAE and US Unite for Lasting Peace in Gaza

As the human suffering in Gaza grows worse and violence continues to soar the UAE and US have come together to provide humanitarian assistance and help in seeking for a diplomatic solution to the conflict. It was noted by UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that they both see their interests as aligned. Both underlined the need for cessation of hostilities, delivery of humanitarian aid and assistance in bringing about a two-state solution on the basis of reciprocal recognition of national states, peaceful mutual co-existence, security and non-violent conflict regulation between Palestinians and Israelis.

UAE’s Unwavering Support for Gaza

The United Arab Emirates in particular has been in the vanguard in coming up with ways and means of providing help to the beleaguered population of Gaza. They have vast operations like Gallant Knight 3 mission where they have airdropped 33,000 tonnes of aid food, medical belongings and shelters. The UAE has supported the call for the element of a broader and coherent plan to address the conflict in Gaza. Its first goal involves the immediate and unconditional cessation of fighting to stop the Palestinian population from enduring more pain. But the UAE has that a competent Palestinian government has to be honest and competent so that they can gain the trust of the international community.

Besides, the UAE categorically denies endorsing any process of the evacuation of Palestinians in their natural lands as well as a demand for the independence of a Palestinian state living in harmony alongside Israel. UAE-US Collaboration for Peace

This comes as UAE’s foreign minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken through a phone call and expressed their desire for a halt in fighting in Gaza. While making his speech during the appeal, both leaders urged the continuous extension of the ceasefire as a measure that would help to put an end to hostilities and establish a lasting peace.

Their discussions were geared towards the protection and delivery of aid in which humanitarian organizations and governments wanted to contribute mainly to the reconstruction process in conflict areas. The two partners also jointly pursued diplomatic mechanisms aimed at attaining a sustainable peace between Israelis and Palestinians towards founding the Palestinian state.

This partnership between UAE and US emphasizes the seriousness of both countries towards finding sustainable solutions towards the humanitarian issues in Gaza strip and in making cordial and lasting peace in the Middle East.
